Inner Child meditation

To connect with your inner child through visualisation you must create a safe, beautiful space inside of your mind.. For this, lie down comfortably, close your eyes and bring awareness to your breath.


The journey...

You can use the sensation of heaviness throughout the whole body starting from the left part of your body and then moving the awareness towards the right side. With the feeling of heaviness there is also a feeling of lightness. You start feeling light like a feather. Delicate. Free…

From here, you can go anywhere you want in your imagination. You can start walking up a staircase. And then go higher and higher until you reach your powerful place. Or you can start walking through a forest and then choose a path which is beautiful, full of colour, wildflowers, butterflies and sunlight. Create the most beautiful place you have ever experienced. Spend a bit of time in your power place. Then walk through that path until you reach the doors or a waterfall which you will pass through. Here, you will meet your inner child.


Dear Inner Child

When you see your inner child - observe, ask questions and reply to answers. You might like to ask, “Dear inner child, when was the first time I experienced trauma in my life?” or "Dear inner child how are you today? What makes you sad?" and so on… keep asking, keep listening, keep observing and keep answering.


Allow yourself to witness the thoughts that rise and fall within your mind. Try to understand the lessons, the pain, the whole story around it. When you are ready, you can also hug your younger self and make him or her feel at home. Say "thank you". Say "I am sorry". Say "forgive me". Say "I love you". Say "I promise you". Say "I believe you". Say "I am with you". Say " I will always be with you". Say "you are not alone". Say "you are beautiful". Say " from now on everything will be ok, from now on everything will be different". Spend as much time as you need here. You can cry. You can laugh. Anything and anyhow you want to react is good.


Goodbye...

At the end, say goodbye. Hug once again. Wave. Send kisses. Look back with love. Anything which will help your inner child to stay safe and stay connected with you.

Then, make your way back. Leave your power place and ascend the stairs or go through the waterfall and the garden. Go through the same path as you entered the power place. Slowly return to normal consciousness. Start feeling the energy in your body. Start moving your feet and hands. Bring awareness of the place and noises around you. When you are ready, you can open your eyes.


You are safe. Some parts of your inner self are healed.

Say thank you for the process and repeat it when you feel like it.

And most of all… enjoy!
